Star Trek: Enterprise is set at the beginning of the Star Trek series timeline and follows the 22nd century adventures of Captain Jonathan Archer aboard the Enterprise NX-01 during the early days of interstellar travel.

Star Trek Reverse Design

The coin’s reverse portrays a colour image of Scott Bakula as Captain Jonathan Archer as he appeared in Star Trek: Enterprise, against a representation of the Enterprise NX-01 and the inscription CAPTAIN JONATHAN ARCHER.

The design also includes The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark, and the coin’s weight and fineness.

Captain Jean-Luc Picard was the commanding officer of the Federation starship U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D and a distinguished Starfleet officer, archaeologist, and diplomat. In 2364, Picard was appointed the command of the Enterprise, a position he held for seven years while participating in many important missions, including the defeat of the Borg invasions in 2366 and 2369, and his command of the fleet which blockaded the Klingon-Romulan border during the Klingon Civil War.

Enterprise and the inscription CAPTAIN JEAN-LUC PICARD. The design also includes The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark, and the coin’s weight and fineness.

Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu, the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination, and the 2015 year-date are shown on the coin’s obverse.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 5,000 of the 2015 Star Trek: The Next Generation – Captain Jean-Luc Picard 1oz Silver Proof Coin in this packaging, from a maximum mintage of 6,500. The coin is housed in a replica of a Star Trek transporter machine which lights up when the lid is opened, inside a custom designed display box, within a Star Trek themed shipper. Each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
