The Perth Mint is pleased to present this special edition World Money Fair Coin Show Special produced for the world's premier numismatic fair hosted in Berlin from 5 – 7 February 2016.
The coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver. The coin’s reverse depicts a kookaburra perched on a fence post amidst an Australian landscape. The design includes the inscription AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA,
The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, and the 2016 year-date. Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination are depicted on the coin’s obverse.
The Perth Mint will release no more than 2,000 of the Australian Kookaburra 2016 1oz Silver Coloured Coin in special World Money Fair 2016 Coin Show packaging.
The coin is housed in a classic grey Perth Mint case within a special World Money Fair 2016 Coin Show shipper, and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
