In 1953, ten statues guarded the entrance to Westminster Abbey at the coronation of Her Majesty The Queen. Known as The Queen’s Beasts, they were created to represent different strands of her ancestry. Today, these fascinating heraldic beasts have been reimagined for a new era, brought to life on our bullion coins.

The White Horse of Hanover is the ninth release in the collection. In 1714 Georg Ludwig, ruler of the German duchy of Hanover, succeeded to the throne of Great Britain as George I. He brought with him the heraldry of the region, including the ancient device of a white horse on a red background. The white horse is a beast with a long history, deeply rooted in Germany’s past and that of George I’s medieval ancestors.

Invest in royal heritage

Gold bullion has been chosen as an investment by individuals, governments and organisations for hundreds of years. It has long been regarded as a store of value and historically, and unlike many other investments, it has maintained its worth through difficult market conditions. With gold more accessible than ever before, could now be the right time to diversify your investment portfolio?

This one ounce gold bullion coin presents a new investment opportunity in this range and is also available as a quarter-ounce gold and two-ounce silver edition.
