This special release from Banco de Mexico commemorates the 500th Anniversary of the historical memory of Tenochtitlan in Mexico and is limited to a mintage of 5,000.

- The Templo Mayor appears on the front of the coin, slightly to the right side. The background shows the Plaza de la Constitución with the National Flag, the National Palace, and the Metropolitan Cathedral and Tabernacle. In the upper part of the coin, in two lines, the legend reads "500 AÑOS DE MEMORIA HISTÓRICA / DE MÉXICO-TENOCHTITLAN" (500 YEARS OF HISTORICAL MEMORY / OF MEXICO-TENOCHTITLAN). The denomination "$10" appears on the exergue and, on the left side, the year "1521" together with the Mexican Mint mark "M°". The year "2021" appears to the right of the exergue.
- Obverse of the coin bears the National Coat of Arms surrounded by the legend “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS” (UNITED MEXICAN STATES)
