Spectacular 2014 Kookaburra Design in High Relief

The coins reverse features a kookaburra sitting on a tree branch surrounded by gum leaves.  The design includes the inscription AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA , The Perth Mints traditional P mintmark and the 2014 year-date.

The coin's high relief reverse and obverse are minted on concave surfaces to ensure the optimum flow of metal is achieved by the strike of the die.

Australian Legal Tender

Issued as Australian legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coins obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination.

Limited Issue

The Perth Mint will release no more than 9,000 of the Australian Kookaburra 2014 1oz Silver Proof High Relief Coin in this packaging, from a maximum mintage of 10,000.

The coin is housed in individual presentation case within an illustrated shipper, and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
