About Box Jellyfish

Unbeknown to some, these jellyfish are found incoastal rivers as well as the ocean. The largest species in the Box Jellyfish family,the Australian Box Jellyfish is named for itsbox-like shaped bell that can reach up to 30centimetres in diameter. With up to 60 tentaclesextending up to 3 metres long, this jellyfish canswim up to nearly eight kilometres an hour,unlike other jellyfish that float passively on the current.
