Located in the People’s Republic of China, Chinese Mint is a well-known maker of commemorative coins in the precious metals industry. History of the Chinese Mint
In 1979, Chinese Mint introduced to the world its first commemorative gold coins. They were produced to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China formation. A new sovereign bullion coin followed after the initial release and took the global market by storm. It had intense demand, soaring levels of purity and designs with a huge wow-factor. The Chinese Mint is part of the government structure of China's Nationalist Party, which now occupies modern-day Taiwan. Do note that Taiwan exists as an independent nation; it is not part of the People’s Republic of China.
