2015 Chinese Sacred Buddhist Mountain (Mount Jiuhua) 1/4oz Gold & 2oz Silver Proof Coin Set
The People’s Bank of China is to issue a set of gold and silver commemorative coins for Chinese Sacred Buddhist Mountain (Mount Jiuhua) on April 28st 2015. The set consists of five coins, with three in gold and two in silver, all of which are the legal tender of the People’s Republic of China.
The set of gold and silver commemorative coins bear the common obverse of the National Emblem of the People’s Republic of China, the title of P.R.C. and the year date.
The reverse of 7.776g (1/4oz) gold coin features the statue of the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva against auspicious clouds, the words “Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, Mount Jiuhua” in Chinese and the face value.
The reverse of 62.208g (2oz) silver coin features Tiantai Temple, the words “Tiantai Temple, Mount Jiuhua” in Chinese and the face value.
