China Mint produced this astonishing coin as a part of the 1996 production year which is the rarest year in the ½ oz. panda series. The upper side of coin depicts a panda sitting on a shore by the lake. Beneath this, the purity of silver is marked and the denomination of “5 Yuan” is also marked on the top.  Temple of heavens with the year date 1996 is designed on the back side of coin. The coin was produced by using mirror finishes. Frosted engraving makes it a marvelous example of coin minting.

Features of the Coin:

  • Pure .999 ½ oz silver is used in its making.
  • Its mintage is 200,000 coins.
  • Due to low mintage, the coin is quite rarer than its 1993 counterpart.
