Beneath the ancient boab trees in the heart of the East Kimberley in Western Australias far north, the worlds rarest diamonds were formed more than a billion years ago. Argyle pink diamonds are a true Australian treasure, limited by nature and highly sought after by collectors and connoisseurs. Each of the Kimberley Sunset coins incorporates a superbly hand set Argyle pink diamond.
Proof Quality 22-carat Pink Gold

Stunning Argyle Pink Diamond Design
The coins reverse depicts a boab tree amid a Kimberley landscape at sunset. An Argyle pink diamond embedded near the horizon represents the setting sun. The design includes the inscription KIMBERLEY SUNSET, the 2015 year-date, and The Perth Mints P mintmark.
The coins high relief reverse and obverse are minted on concave surfaces to ensure the optimum flow of metal is achieved by the strike of the die.
Australian Legal Tender
Issued as Australian legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coins obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination.
