The Isle of Man Silver Angel series uses a design which is truly iconic. Both sides of these coins feature a distinct frosted background, which makes the proof stand out greatly. The obverse side of the Silver Angel features an image of Queen Elizabeth II while the reverse side of the coin showcases an image of the archangel Michael. Michael wields a shield which prevents a dragon from breathing fire on him, while he slays it with a spear.
