Issued by Somalia in 2018, this coin is the latest issue of the continuing African Wildlife Series which began in 2004. You can see a close-up of an adult elephant with his trunk reaching out towards the rim of the coin. In the background are two birds in flight and a leafless tree. Near the elephant's ear on the edge of the coin is the dog privy, which is a German Shepard on the reverse. The obverse bears the heraldic symbol of the Somalian Republic, year of mintage and monetary value.
