Each coin of this set bears the common observe design featuring the national emblem of the PRC, the title of PRC, and the year date.
The 8g round commemorative gold coin depicts the Jiuri Mountain Wind-Praying Inscriptions, a Quanzhou merchant boat of the Song Dynasty, adorned with auspicious clouds and sea waves, the words “Quanzhou: Emporium of the World in Song-Yuan China” in Chinese and the face value.
The 30g round commemorative silver coin depicts the Statue of Lao Tze with trees and mountains in the background, the words “Quanzhou: Emporium of the World in Song-Yuan China” in Chinese and the face value.
